London Transport tram trolleybus driver and conductor cap badge

A very good example of a scarce original circa 1962 period 'London Transport chromium plated Driver's or Conductor's cap badge' inlaid with dark red enamel, depicting the late feature large dots; the reverse impressed with maker's details in relief 'Firmin'. Very good condition, complete with original two loop fittings, enamel perfect, minimal service wear, an excellent example.
Height 38mm.

The 'London Transport Tram & Trolleybus' bullseye badge was issued from mid 1934 and remained in use until becoming obsolete with the final demise of London's trolleybuses in May 1962. In the late 1950's the finish was changed from nickel plating to chromium plating.
