A scarce original pre 1940 period 'Federation of the Women's Institutes Hertfordshire badge', large oval gilded blue enamel example bearing a Hart, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Pinches London'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect.
Height 35mm.

'John Pinches London' manufacturer of badges and insignia, became a Limited Company in 1940 and was sold to the Franklin Mint of Philadelphia USA in 1969.
