A scarce original wartime period 'Salute The Soldier celluloid tin button badge' sold to raise funds during the Second World War, depicting a Tommy Soldier in full kit, ready for action. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, colours remain bright.

The Salute The Soldier logo was designed by the artist Abram Games (1914-96) the great designer of the Festival of Britain logo and numerous well known war and travel posters etc.
