British Airways Junior Jet Club pilots wing badge
A good original post 1974 'British Airways Junior Jet Club pilots wing gilt and enamel badge,' the reverse with maker's details 'Manhattan Products England'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, safety roller catch in good working oder, no damage to the enamel. Width 36mm.
The Junior Jet Club was formed on March 26th 1957. Every young passenger embarking on a B.A. aircraft was given a blue and gilt badge and a log-book in which to keep a record of all mileage flown. Mileage and flying times were entered in the log-book by the flight crew of the aircraft and certificates awarded for 25,000, 50,000, 75,000 and 100,000 miles.
