WW1 Bradford Wounded Transport Service joint war committee badge

A very scarce original First World War period gilt and enamel badge, the centre bearing a Maltese Cross with circular title 'Bradford Wounded Transport Service', the reverse with maker's details "Fattorini & Sons Bradford". Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel.
Height 30mm.

Bradford Joint Committee the Wounded Transport Service was initiated October 1915, when Bradford's offer of a War Hospital St. Luke's had been accepted by the War Office.
