BKS Air Transport pilots wing badge

A scarce original pre 1970's 'BKS Air Transport badge', large gold bullion pilots wing, central red padded sheild with initial 'BKS', black paper lining. Good condition, bullion dulled.
Width approx 112mm.

Formed in 1952 as 'BKS Aero Charter' after the three directors, J. Barnby, T. Keegan and C.Stevens. Renamed 'BKS Air Transport' in 1953. The company became part of the 'British Air Services Group' in 1967 and changed its name to 'Northeast Airlines' in 1970
