Voluntary Medical Service Medal
A good original pre 1960s full sized Voluntary Medical Service fifteen years long and efficient service silver medal bearing two clasps each for a subsequent 5 years of service awarded to a Mrs.Sylvia M.Clark. The obverse depicting a symbolic representation of Florence Nightingale carrying her lamp with the initial "PM" for the designer Percy Metcalfe; the reverse displaying the Geneva and St Andrew cross denoting the British Red Cross and St Andrew's Ambulance Corps (Scotland) organisations who issued the award. Very good clean condition, complete with original silk ribbon and suspension bar.
