A.E.Penfold Golf Ball Developments Ltd c.1940 advertising badge.

A superb example of a circa 1940's period 'Golfing Manufacturers advertising badge' in the form of a figural smiley Scottish gentleman wearing highly enamelled tartan golfing outfit including 'Plus Fours' and 'Tam o' Shanter' and smoking a pipe with "Penfold" title below; the reverse impressed with maker's details "H.W.Miller Ltd B'ham.18" also "Made in England" concealed behind the lapel. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole horseshoe fitting, remarkably no stress marks or damage to the enamal, an excellent example.
