A scarce original circa 1940's period 'Royal National Lifeboat Institution Honorary Secretary badge'; gilded brass blue enamel title circlet surmounted by a King's crown, the centre depicting an embossed lifeboat with full crew, with blue enamel 'Honorary Secretary' scroll below; the reverse with maker's details "W.O.Lewis (Badges) Ltd Birmingham". Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel with old restoration, gilt finish now toned.
