Awarded to "SE.8739 PTE. J.KINGMAN. A.V.C." Complete with replacement ribbon. Good condition, toned.

Private James Kingman enlisted into the Army Veterinary Corps with the service number SE.8739 on the 26th May 1915. He landed in France on the 5th June 1916. He was discharged on the 20th September 1917. due to ill health and was awarded the 'Silver War Badge'. The S.E. initials on his service number meaning 'Special Enlistment (General Service)' is unique to the Army Veterinary Corps.
