A scarce original First World War period 'On War Service 1914 badge by unusual manufacturer', gilded brass example bearing central Crown, the title surround inlaid with dark blue enamel; the reverse with maker's details "Smith & Wright Birmingham". Good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, enamel with minor service wear.
