Very good condition, complete with suspension, minor nick to the enamel just below ring, gilt finish remains bright.
Diameter 29mm.

In September 1914 the War Office made a desperate plea to the London General Omnibus Company for volunteer drivers and buses to transport troops of the BEF. This initial band of volunteers were drafted into the RND,(Royal Naval Division) so fast was their transition, they still wore their bus company uniforms. In 1915 this group of men were withdrawn back from France and discharged, many re-enlisting straight away.
