Queen Alexandras Royal Army Nursing Corps QARANC cap badge

A scarce original short lived 1949 -1952 pattern 'Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps officer's gilt cap badge'; King George VI crowned wreath bearing "Sub cruce Candida" (Under the White Cross) scrolls, the Dannebrog lettered "A" for Alexandra to the center "Q.A.R.A.N.C" applied silvered title below; the reverse with maker's details "J.R.Gaunt London", complete with two loop fittings, gilt finish remains crisp. Excellent condition.
