A scarce and very clean First World War period 'Eglise du Mont-St.Eloi 1915 souvenir silk postcard'; woven silk example depicting the flaming towers of Mont-Saint-Eloi abbey, the reverse inscribed "Soie tissee E. Deffrene, edit, 77, rue Montmartre, Paris Vise N. 4, Imp. Le Gall, Paris." and pencil insciption "With best love" address to "Mrs B Gommer 39 Swaton Rd Campbell Rd Bow London E". Very good clean condition, colours remain bright.
