RMSP Araguaya shipping line silver wheel badge

A scarce original pre 1930 'R.M.S.P. Araguaya ship's wheel brooch', fine quality example mounted to the centre with the house flag of the 'Royal Mail Steam Packet Company'; the reverse impressed "Silver" and maker's details "MN & WB" (Mappin & Webb London and Sheffield). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel perfect.
Diameter 27mm.

'RMSP Araguaya' was built by Workman Clark & Co, Belfast in 1906 for Royal Mail Steam Packet Co. In 1930 she was sold to 'Yugoslavian Loyd' and renamed 'Kraljica Marija' (Queen Maria).
