British and Irish Steam Packet Company officer's cap badge

A scarce original circa pre-war 'British and Irish Steam Packet Company officer's cap badge'; the centre with the companies embroidered flag, resting on gold wire bullion laurel wreath displaying shamrocks, with the initials "B&ISO Co.Ld" above; the reverse with waxed black hessian lining slightly detached at top. Very good condition, bullion remains bright., no signs of any moth.
Height approx 56mm.
Width approx 75mm.

The 'British and Irish Steam Packet Company' was established in Dublin in 1836 initially with a fleet of paddle steamers.
