1927 - 1943 Indian Military Nursing Service silver nurses medal

A very rare original British Made die-cast fine quality 'Indian Military Nursing Service unmarked silver badge / medal'; title circlet of cog wheel design, to the voided centre a cross bearing central crown; complete with original blue and white striped silk ribbon and suspension bar with original pin fittings. Very good condition, minor wear to ribbon.

The 'Indian Military Nursing Service' was formed in 1927 from the 'Indian Troops Nursing Service' which began in 1926. In 1943 the 'IMNS' formed part of the 'Indian Army Medical Corps'.
