6ST Stoke on Trent BBC Radio Circle Staffordshire relay station badge

A scarce early original circa 1924-1931 'Stoke on Trent B.B.C. Radio Circle 6ST relay station gilded brass and enamel badge' bearing the 'Arms of Stoke-on-Trent' in red and white enamel, the reverse with maker's details "Samuel Jenkins, Hockley, Birmingham". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
Height 27mm.

'Stoke-on-Trent BBC relay station 6ST' first began broadcasting on 21 October 1924 and ended in May 1931.
