Royal Army Medical Corps 9ct gold & enamel sweetheart brooch

A superb quality 'Royal Army Medical Corps gold and enamel sweetheart brooch'; King George V Crowned laurel wreath "Rod of Asclepius" to centre, resting upon blue enamel title scroll and mounted on a slender bar, the reverse impressed "9ct" (9 carat gold), maker's details "Deakin & Francis Ltd Regent Place, Birmingham" and inscribed "O.A.Sachs. 20.3.42". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel perfect, an excellent example.
Housed in velvet lined fitted leather case with retailers name to the inside lid "By Appointment Carrington & Co Ltd 130 Regent Street.W.".
