RAF No 151 Fighter Squadron Royal Air Force badge
A rare original King George VI pre-war 'Battle of Britain' period 'RAF No 151 Squadron gilt and enamel badge', depicting an owl, wings elevated, alighting on a seax and French motto "Foy pour devoir" (Fidelity unto duty.), the reverse with unusual maker's details :BMCo" (Birmingham Medal Co pre-1939). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel perfect.

'RAF No 151 Squadron was active between 4 Aug 1936 -10 Oct 1946.
'Birmingham Medal Company' was formed around 1921. In 1939 their name changed to 'Birmingham Medal and Badge Co'.
