Flying From Squires Gate Airport Blackpool aircraft adverting mirror
A rare original circa 1927-1937 'Flying from Squires Gate, Blackpool advertising mirror'; celluloid tin example depicting a black and white photographic image of the Avro 548A Biplane with the British Registration Number "G-E BIU" clearly displayed on the fuselage; the reverse with mirror insert and post-1927 maker's details "Thos Fattorini Ltd Regent St B'Ham" to the rim. Very good condition, minimal foxing.
Diameter 51mm.
iThe aircraft depicted is an Avro 548A at the time the photograph was taken, it was registered to 'Lytham Williams & Co of Blackpool'. She appeared to have crashed at Rhyl on the 17th May 1937 and was scrapped.
