A scarce original wartime period ''ARP Westinghouse Brake & Signalling Co Ld lapel badge'; small chromium plated example bearing the company's logo to the centre on orange translucent enamel ground; the reverse impressed with maker's details "Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St Birmingham". Very good condition, retaining original buttonhole fitting, enamel intact.
Height 21mm.

Westinghouse Brake & Signal Company Ltd was formed in 1935 when 'Saxby' was dropped from their title. It manufactured railway air braking, signalling, mining and colliery equipment at the engineering works in Chippenham, Wiltshire and Melbourne, Australia.
