A scarce original circa Great War period 'Church Lads Brigade Battalion lapel badge'; die-stamped blackened brass 'Maltese Cross'; title circlet "The King's Royal Rifle Corps" bugle to solid centre, surmounted by a crowned "Fight The Good Fight" tablet, the top and bottom arm of the cross embossed "C.L.B Cadets". Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting.
Height 31mm.

An advertisement in the November 1914 edition of the 'The Brigade' magazine requests:

C.L.B. EX-MEMBERS Are invited to join a special C.L.B. BATTALION of the King's Royal Rifle Corps.
