BEA Airline pilots wing gold bullion uniform badge

A scarce original 1946 -1974 early pattern manufacturers sample of a 'British European Airways BEA pilot's wing badge', large gold bullion wire embroidery padded wings, the centre bearing the initials 'BEA' within a laurel wreath surmounted by a 'Astral Crown' all on black felt cloth backing, the reverse with black hessian lining and "Firmin & Son, Ltd" paper label. Very good unworn condition, bullion remains bright.
