A very unusual First World War period 'Unity is Strength patriotic flag brooch'; gilded brass example, depicting Gt Britain's Union Jack, France, Belgium, Russia and Japan flags inlaid with vivid coloured enamels and superimposed on a laurel and oak wreath. Very good condition, retaining original horseshoe buttonhole fittings, enamel perfect, gilt remains bright.
