RAF No 96 Squadron Royal Air Force badge c1940s

A scarce original circa George VI period 'Royal Air Force No 96 Squadron gilt and enamel badge', depicting a lion passant and Latin motto "Nocturni obambulamus" (We prowl by night); the reverse with maker's details "Emblems Ltd 15 /19 Kingsway London W.C.2". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel intact, gilt finish remains bright.
