Boy Scouts Gallantry Cross Award for Heroism 2nd issue

An unusual original circa 1920's transitional period 'Boy Scouts Gilt Gallantry Cross Award'; gilt example the obverse bearing new issue wording "For Gallantry" and plain reverse, but retaining original 1st issue ring suspension, 1 1/4 inch ribbon and narrow suspension bar. Good condition, ribbon fragile, gilt finish worn

The 1st Issue 1909 -1919 Gallantry Cross awards had the words "For Saving Life" on the upper arm and side arms, but from 1920 the design was changed to read "For Gallantry".
