Borough of Southwark For Air Raid Service During Great War 1918 medal

A rare original First World War period 'For Air Raid Service During Great War silver cross'; the centre depicting the 'Arms from the Borough of Southwark' with motto below "United To Serve" (Granted in 1902); the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1918 and maker's details "J.F" (James Fenton & Co Birmingham). Very good condition, complete with silver suspension ring and housed in a period leather medal case.
