King George V and Queen Mary 1934 opening of Mersey Tunnel badge

A scarce original souvenir badge for the the 'Royal Opening of the Mersey Tunnel July 1934', delicately made pressed gilt metal example, bearing a photograph of King George V and Queen Mary to the centre, surmounted by patriotic red, white and blue painted floral decoration. Very good condition, complete with original safety pin fitting, gilt remains bright.
