A scarce Boer War celluloid tin button badge with clear photograph of 'Colonel Wingate' in Army uniform, the reverse with original paper backing with maker's details "Typographical Union Label" "The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, N.J. Patented July 17, 1894. April 14, 1896. July 21.1896." Very good clean condition, complete with pin fitting, minimal rust and foxing.
