London Transport County Buses & Coaches pre-1950s cap badge

A very good example of a scarce original pre-1950's period 'London Transport nickel plated Driver and Conductor cap badge' inlaid with apple green enamel, depicting the early feature spearhead dots; the reverse impressed with maker's details in relief "J.R.Gaunt London". Very good condition, retaining original two loop fittings, enamel with very minor service wear.
Height 36mm.

The 'London Transport County Buses & Coaches' bullseye badge was issued from 1933/34 up until the 1970's. In the late 1950's the finish was changed from nickel plating to chromium plating.
