WW1 On War Service 1915 munition workers badge by Collins

A scarce original silver plated First World War official 'On War Service 1915 munitions workers badge', the voided centre bearing the 'Board of Ordnance' shield; the reverse with maker's details stamped in relief "D.J.Collins Newgate St. London" "Warranted Fire Gilt" "P" and impressed with official issue number "24858". Good condition, retaining original buttonhole fitting, silver plated with heavy service wear, worn back to base in parts.
