Imperial Airways officers gilt pilot wing badge c1924 to 1939

A rare original circa 1924-39 period 'Imperial Airways officer's pilot wing badge'; large gilded brass slim wing, the central shield with the "IA" monogram within laurel wreath surmounted by lion on torse, the reverse with original pin fittings, no evidence of ever having had loops. Very good condition, gilt remains bright, an excellent example.
