A scarce original First World War period 'Silver War Badge officially numbered 240625', awarded October 1917 to Nurse V.A.D. P. Cameron T.F.N.S. who address is given as "Duarte Villa Cardross Dunbartonshire Scotland"; unmarked silver circlet inscribed "For King And Empire" "Services Rendered" bearing crowned "GRI" Imperial Cypher to voided centre, the reverse with original stout pin fittings.

The 'Silver War Badge' was awarded to service personnel who were honourably discharged due to wounds or sickness whilst serving in the Great War. It was worn on the lapel in civilian clothing.
