WW2 QARNNS tropical issue cream felt hat badge

A very rare original Second World War period tropical issue 'Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service hat badge', King George VI Crowned 'Queen Alexandra cypher' of crossed initials "A" embroidered in red silk cotton and intertwined around a gold wire anchor on cream felt backing, the reverse with white hessian lining. Overall in very good condition, embroidery and gold bullion remains bright, but there is extensive MOTH damage mainly to the felt edging, the price allows for this defect.
