Christmas Pudding good luck silver charms on display card
A rare unused set of circa 1920's 'Christmas Lucky Pudding Prizes', attached to original display card stating "Sterling Silver" "Made in England":
comprising: 'Button representing Bachelor'
'Horseshoe - Good Luck'
'Thimble - Old Maid'
'Wishbone - Wish come true'
'Bell - 'Belle - a beautiful girl or woman'
and the ancient symbol 'Swastika representing Happiness' this was disassociated with in the mid 1930's in England.
Christmas Pudding charms were traditionally stirred into the xmas pudding mixture before steaming. When served one of these prizes, it was supposed to tell your fortune for the coming New Year.
