WW1 Wounded Soldier Hospital Blues character figure badge

A scarce early 1915 example of a Great War period, possibly a flag day collector fundraising badge; gilt metal quatrefoil shape surround depicting a wounded soldier in 'Hospital Blues uniform' to solid centre, the reverse with details "Protected" with hard to decipher signature "Casaiue"? impressed on an engraved backing depicting a 'Union Flag' and "1915" (prior to registration in 1916). Good condition, retaining original pin fittings (replacement pin) and suspension ring, chip to enamel 9 o'clock, other minor ones to surround, gilt finish remains bright.
