WW1 Surrey Special Constable police constabulary reserve badge
A good example of a First World War period 'Surrey Special Constable badge'; silver plated Crowned title circlet inlaid with blue enamel, the centre depicting a 'Lion passant guardant' normally associated with the 'Arms of Richmond', the reverse with maker's details "Buttons Ltd B'Ham". Very good condition, retaining original early round buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel.
