Irish Defence Force Naval Service sealed pattern cap badge Dublin

A rare original 'Irish Navy Sealed Pattern Senior and Petty officer felt cloth cap badge'; embroidered silver bullion fouled anchor within a double rope edge surround, surmounted by embroidered gold bullion 'Defence Forces badge' the centrepiece "FF" (Fianna Fáil) on red felt backing; the reverse retaining paper lining over white hessian backing. Attached to the badge is a red wax seal and label stating it to be "An Roinn Cosanta Sample from Stock" an ink signature "J Robinson" and dated "2FEB 1987". Very good condition.
