Boy Scouts Scoutmaster officer 1st pattern lapel badge

A scarce example of an original first pattern "Scoutmaster Officer's lapel badge", circular example inlaid with green enamel, bearing an arrowhead without stars and "Be Prepared" motto scroll in yellow enamel below; the reverse impressed with maker's details "J.A.Wylie & Co. London" and with "Reg 535263" a Registered Design and Patent date of 1909, and retaining its original early pattern round lapel fitting. Good condition, original silver plated finish almost worn back to the brass on the obverse, still signs visible to the reverse, minor service wear to the enamel.
