BOAC Airline pilots wing gold bullion uniform badge

A scarce original pre 1974 example of a 'BOAC pilot's wing badge', large gold wire bullion embroidery wings on felt cloth backing, the padded central shield bearing a griffin without distinct red tongue, surmounted by an astral crown, the reverse with black hessian lining. Very good used condition, bullion remains bright.
