Boys Brigade 1954 Eton founders camp badge
A very scarce original uncleaned 'Boys Brigade Eton Founder's Camp badge 1954'; this official uniform lightly silvered 'special badge' worn on the left arm, depicts a campers 'bell tent' flanked by 'B Bs', tilted flag rising above bearing the year '1954' and title surround "Founder's Camp Eton". Very good used condition, retaining original pin fittings, minor discolouring to plating.

The Boys' Brigade Founder's Centenary camp was held on the playing fields of 'Eton College' between 12th - 21st August 1954. The occasion was the Centenary of the Founder's birth ' Sir William Alexander Smith'. The giant international camp commanded by 'Sir Donald Finnemore was attended by boys as far afield as 'Singapore', 'Falkland Islands', 'USA', 'Canada', 'Nigeria' and 'New zealand'. The Eton Camp 'special badge' was issued after the event to around 2000 plus boys who had taken part.
