RAF No 228 Squadron Royal Air Force Badge c1950s

A scarce original Elizabeth II period 'Royal Air Force No 228 Squadron gilt and enamel badge', depicting a winged helmet and Latin motto "Auxilium a caelo" (Help from the sky), the reverse impressed with maker's details "H.W.Miller Ltd B'Ham.18". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel perfect, gilt remains bright and complete with its original display card backing.
