A rare original First World War period St.Thomas's Hospital lapel badge possibly for war service; gilded brass circular example bearing central hospital crest and title inlaid with red enamel; the reverse impressed with official low issue number "70'. Very good condition, retaining original buttonhole horseshoe fitting, enamel with minor service wear.
