British Red Cross Society Radiographer technical medal & named badge

A rare early unnamed example of a 'British Red Cross Society Technical Badge' with 'Radiographer ' bar, together with her 'British Red Cross Society Life Member badge' the reverse with official issue number "885" and inscribed "Nancy Davies.". The medal is in very good condition, complete with original silk ribbon, title bar and gilt buckle suspension with pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example, Life Membership badge, with small chip and stress marks to the enamel title bar.

The British Red Cross Society Technical badges were instituted in 1914 and were eligible to members of the Voluntary Aid Detachments with professional qualifications, they were discontinued in the mid 1960's.
