Ancoats Hospital Manchester 1938 silver nurses badge

A fine quality scarce pre war 'Ancoats Hospital Manchester silver and enamel nurse's badge' in the form of a cross, the centre bearing the 'Nurses Lamp of Knowledge', the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1938, maker's details "J.M" (Joseph Moore, Birmingham) and inscribed "M.Brown. June 1938". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel with minor surface scratches and small flake at 12 o'clock.
