Queen Victoria 1897 Jubilee celebration temperance movement badge

A scarce medal celebrating Queen Victoria's Jubilee and the Band of Hope Movement; large bronze example the obverse inscribed "Jubilee of the Band of Hope Movement 1897" "Founded in Leeds 1847 by 'Mrs Ann Jane Carlile' and 'Rev.J.Tunnicliff" and depicting head and shoulder raised portraits of the founders; the reverse inscribed "H.M.Queen Victoria Patron of the Band of Hope Jubulee" "1837-1897 Unprecedented Reign of Sixty Years" the centre showing a side portrait in relief of the Queen, complete with original yellow embroidered blue silk ribbon bearing fouled anchor and "Band of Hope Jubilee 1897". Excellent condition.
