Wimbledon & Nelson Hospitals school of nursing badge

A good original circa 1980's 'Wimbledon and Nelson Hospitals School of Nursing' badge, large chromium plated example inlaid with blue enamel. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch, enamel perfect.

'Wimbledon Hospital' closed in 1983 and services moved to the 'Nelson Hospital' which was named after "Admiral Horatio Nelson" who lived in Merton, the wards were named after Nelson's battles, ship's and captains.
