WW1 Beaty Brothers Manchester Ltd on war service badge

A rare original First World War period 'Engaged On Government Work crowned circular gilt badge' inlaid with red and blue enamel, the centre depicting the united emblems of England, Scotland and Ireland, a Rose, Thistle and Shamrock, with applied white central title bar 'Beaty Bros M/ter Ltd', the reverse with maker's details "Thomas Fattorini Bolton" and with "Reg.638232" a registered, design and patent date of 1914. Very good condition, retaining original buttonhole fitting, no stress or damage to the enamel, gilt remains bright, an excellent example.
