Masonic Lodge No 4948 Worshipful Master Gold Jewel

A very fine quality scarce 'Worshipful Master Jewel' for the 'Masonic Lodge No 4948 Lodge Builders of the Silent Cities', the reverse bearing (to all four parts), London 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1940 and maker's details "GK&S" (G.Kenning & Sons Ltd, London), and inscribed "W.Bro.J.W.Hatton W.M. 1940". Contained in its original presentation case with maker's name to the lid, accompanied by a receipt from the 'United Grand Lodge of England" "London Rank Fund" for the sum of "Two Guineas". Excellent condition, retaining original silk ribbon and suspension bar with single pin fitting, perfect enamel.
